Welcome to the Historic Waterways Online Curriculum Website. There are a few ways to utilize the resources available on this site.
If you are an Educator, you may either download and print out a PDF version of each of the eight investigations by clicking on the link below, or you may guide your students through each of the Investigations here online. If you choose to use the online version students will be able to enter and print out their answers to each question upon completion of the Investigations.
If you are a student interested in completing the Investigations, simply click on any of the available Investigations from the home page and complete the activities as directed. The images located to the right hand side of each page may be enlarged by clicking on them.
Please be aware that some popular web browsers function a little differently.
- If you are using Internet Explorer 6 or 7, the enlarged images will be loaded full size and you will have to scroll around to view ALL areas of the image
- If you are using Firefox 2.0 (Recommended) or Safari, the image will resize to the size of your window. You can click anywhere on the image itself to zoom into that area at full resolution.
- If you are using any other browser, such as Opera, Netscape, Avant or IE 5, your results may vary. Just be aware you can always choose to "right-click" on the image and "save as" to download the image and view it from your desktop. (Students in labs may have issues doing this - check with your lab instructor if you have any problems).
Educators who wish to print the Investigations for use in classrooms may do so here, or at the top of each Investigation.
